Make sure everyone understands points A and B.
Before travelling between two countries, check the departure and arrival countries as well as the city names. Similar or translated names can cause confusion. Agree on a precise, practical meeting point and allow enough time to reach the car.
Plan what happens on arrival too. Where the driver finishes their own journey may not be your final destination. Consider any onward connection before choosing a listing.
Check your travel requirements.
Ask the competent authorities about the documents and entry requirements relevant to your situation and route. A carpool booking does not replace that check. Drivers must also ensure their journey and insurance are suitable.
If you are bringing special luggage or items, check the applicable rules before departure. Do not assume the rules are identical on both sides of a border, even for a short or familiar journey.
Compare amounts in their own currency.
Rydely distinguishes interface language, trip country and booking currency. The planned currencies are euros for France, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany and Italy; Swiss francs for Switzerland and Liechtenstein.
Changing the language does not convert money. Check the displayed currency and total; do not directly compare figures in different currencies. Any currency conversion fees charged by your payment method need to be checked separately.
Keep practical conversations simple.
After booking, confirm useful details in the trip conversation: meeting point, luggage and any delay. Use short sentences, clear times and a recognisable place. Written information is easier to find again than a vague agreement.
Do not unnecessarily send copies of personal documents or bank details in conversations between participants. Checks requested by the platform should follow their dedicated process when available.
Nine countries, one shared account.
Rydely supports France, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany and Italy. Publishing, searching and booking requests are available for these nine countries, subject to the checks and rules applicable to each journey.
The presence of a country does not mean real payments are active there. Check the displayed ride and booking conditions. One account lets you organise your journeys without managing nine separate accounts.
