One base price, two separate fees.
Rydely’s chosen model uses a base price per seat proposed by the driver within applicable carpooling rules. Driver fees are deducted from that base. Passenger fees are added to it to form the booking total.
Both percentages apply to the same base, not to each other. For several seats, fees are calculated on the total booking base and rounded to the cent. Euro and Swiss franc bookings each retain their own currency.
The example of a €20 seat.
Without a subscription, the 15% passenger fee adds €3: the passenger pays €23. The 15% driver fee takes €3 from the base: €17 goes to the driver. Rydely’s gross share is €6, before its own costs and applicable tax treatment.
That is what a total commission of 30% of the base means. It is not a 30% commission on the €23 already paid by the passenger. This distinction makes amounts easier to read and compare.
Plus reduces fees, not access to features.
The optional Rydely Plus offer being prepared is planned at €49 a year. It reduces passenger fees from 15% to 5%. In the same example, the passenger pays €21 instead of €23, while the driver still receives €17.
Registration, search, filters, publishing and app features do not become paid features with this offer. The subscription does not buy a seat, guaranteed availability or free rides. It only grants reduced fees on eligible bookings during its validity period.
Compare the saving with your usage.
A ten-percentage-point reduction on the base means €490 in base-price bookings theoretically saves €49, excluding rounding and cancellations. For a €20 base-price seat, each booking saves €2; the twenty-fifth exceeds the annual cost in this example.
A subscription makes most sense when it fits your journeys. Use the comparison calculator with your own habits. Do not count a booking that is later cancelled or refunded as a permanent saving.
The offer is presented but not yet on sale.
The Plus page currently explains the model and provides a comparison calculator. Subscriptions are not open. The annual Swiss franc price, renewal, cancellation and applicable conditions will be specified before any purchase.
For now, you can create your account free of charge and explore Rydely without subscribing. When a paid service opens, applicable amounts and conditions must be shown before you commit.
